RCP 4 Areas of Works

Basic Needs

Supporting youth and their family members and community members who have experienced harm in accessing basic needs such as housing and rent support, bill payments, groceries, clothing, mental and physical health services, and other needs.

Restorative Justice and Healing

Creating collective spaces for healing, and processes for healing and accountability for the youth and community members who have experienced harm.

Connection

Providing youth with peer-support and mentorship, alongside educational and vocational opportunities, and support services.

Community

Building and holding space for intentional community support and organizing centered in shared identity (racial, refugee, gender, sexual, religious, cultural, etc.).

RCP Roles

The Youth Steering Committee: A team of youth that works with community navigators and organizations to create an experience based in agency and choice, healing and restoration for folks who participate in RCP. Their main purpose is to support Community Navigators and organizations to be collectively accountable to the standard that has been set by RCP core principles. They work to provide a caring and trusting environment with other youth and community members that engage with RCP

Community Navigators: Community Navigators will be responsible for collaborating with and guiding individuals referred away from the criminal legal system by the King County Prosecuting Attorney's office and referred to Restorative Community Pathways. They will work to build empathetic relationships with individuals going through RCP and work with individuals to formulate a support plan and provide community supports that best serves the unique goals and needs of the individual.

Administrative Roles: These two roles support the inner workings of RCP, ensuring that communication and information is easy for all those a part of RCP.

The RCP Referral Admin focuses on maintaining detailed information regarding the PAO’s referral of individuals, and participants process as the work with navigators and the community network of support.

The RCP Network Admin supports the communication between the network of support, ensuring that all groups are in communication and relationship with each other.

Community Network of Support: The Community Network of Support consists of the various community organizations, collectives, and resources throughout the county that youth, families, and community members are able to connect with and receive support from. The network includes 9 organizations selected through the Request for Proposals Process to receive funding to support RCP’s capacity building and community collectives that would receive direct programming funding to support RCP participants.
