Unceded ancestral lands of Coast Salish peoples and the Duwamish Tribe Dxʷdəwʔabš, Seattle, King County, Washington - Restorative Community Pathways (RCP)’s Request for Proposal Review Committees (Adults & Youth) in partnership with King County’s Children Youth and Young Adults Division within the Department of Human and Community Services is excited to announce the nine organizations who have been awarded funds totaling $3 million and selected to be part of RCP Consortium. These nine organizations will be serving youth, families and community members that have experienced harm with basic needs, restorative justice and healing, and community connections. The expected launch date for RCP is at the end of October once Community Navigators have been hired in partnership with the Youth Steering Community.
RCP is a community response to harm that focuses on healing and restoration by supporting youth, families, and community members. Rather than being prosecuted with a crime through the punitive and harmful court system, RCP will partner with youth and community organizations to address needs and provide them with basic needs and community support. It is a direct divestment from the court system so that youth and community members can engage in restorative justice and healing.
